AsterScan Alpha
AlphaExperimental features pushing the boundaries of what's observable on Aster Chain.
The Alpha Protocol
Alpha is not beta. Beta means "mostly works, polish remaining". Alpha means we're testing whether the data patterns are coherent enough to derive useful insight.
- Methodology is disclosed on every alpha page.
- Confidence intervals are surfaced where statistical inference is involved.
- Heuristic shortcuts are labeled as such — no pretending it's a model when it's a rule.
- Don't trade on alpha output without independent verification. We're exploring, not advising.
- Findings that hold up after weeks of validation graduate to BETA, then to the main site. Findings that don't are publicly retracted with a post-mortem.
Private Mirror
Inferring signal from encrypted on-chain traffic.
Around 70-90% of Aster Chain traffic uses privacy mode — encrypted order payloads. Every other explorer treats those as black holes. Private Mirror reads the metadata that's still public (timing, size class, sender, validator, position in block) and infers aggregate flows: bias, whale clusters, smart-money signal. We never decrypt. We never claim certainty. We surface 95% confidence intervals and the full methodology.
- ▸Long/short bias gauge with confidence interval
- ▸Privacy whale heatmap (size-classed, anonymized)
- ▸Correlated address clusters via co-occurrence inference
Time Machine
Rewind any moment of Aster Chain.
Pick a block height — see the full state of the network at that exact instant. Validator set, network total stake, top tickers, oracle prices, average APY, privacy adoption rate. Scrub through history with the slider; the dashboard updates in real time. Built for forensics, journalists, and traders post-morteming a liquidation cascade or oracle spike.
- ▸Block-level scrubber across full chain history
- ▸Snapshot of network stats at any height
- ▸Compare two moments side by side (e.g. before/after liquidation event)
Insight Engine
Aster Chain narrated in plain English.
A rule-based engine watching the chain in real time and producing observations the way a quant analyst would. Whale moves contextualized. Validator anomalies surfaced. Privacy adoption shifts annotated. Generates a Daily Brief auto-summary. Writing-style human, math-style rigorous.
- ▸Live observation feed (10-30 events/hour)
- ▸Daily Brief auto-generated at 00:00 UTC
- ▸Per-event evidence trail (the underlying tx / metric chain)
Smart Money Mirror
Wallets that move BEFORE the move.
Different from Private Mirror's anonymous clustering — here we identify the wallets whose whale orders preceded favorable price moves over a rolling 30-day window. Each address gets a predictive accuracy score: % of whale orders followed by a price move in their declared direction within 1h / 6h / 24h. The score is weighted by sample size and decays for inactive periods. Top of the leaderboard = the addresses worth watching.
- ▸Per-address predictive accuracy (1h / 6h / 24h horizons)
- ▸Sample-size-weighted scoring (no one-shot luck)
- ▸Top-100 leaderboard with side-distribution + recent activity
Validator X-Ray
Per-validator forensics ahead of external set opening.
The Aster oracle is a stake-weighted median across 6 validators (Trust Wallet, BNB Chain, World Liberty Financial, Lista, PancakeSwap, Aster Foundation). When external validators open in Q2 2026, the difference between a good validator and a bad one will start mattering. X-Ray decomposes each validator's behavior: oracle deviation vs final median, sealing latency, stake concentration (Gini), and a slashing-risk score. No other explorer has this view.
- ▸Oracle deviation per validator (rolling 24h)
- ▸Stake concentration (Gini) + delegation churn
- ▸Slashing risk score with full evidence trail
Liquidation Forecaster
Cascade simulation across leverage tiers.
Aster's leverage ladder (Pro up to 100x, 1001x mode on BTC/ETH) means liquidation cascades hit different tiers at different prices. The Forecaster ingests open positions + entry prices + leverage + margin mode, then simulates: at -1% / -2% / -5% / -10% from spot, what tier liquidates first, total notional unwound, projected funding spike. Heatmap visualizes the cascade. Built for risk teams and prop traders who want to see the next $X-of-leverage step before it happens.
- ▸Forward cascade simulation (-1% to -10% bands)
- ▸Per-tier breakdown (Pro 5x→100x, 1001x BTC/ETH)
- ▸Cross vs isolated margin separation
Iceberg Hunter
Whales splitting orders to hide their hand.
Some whales avoid market impact by splitting one $5M order into 50 smaller privacy orders fired in a tight time window. Private Mirror aggregates privacy traffic; Iceberg Hunter focuses on the intra-wallet pattern: same sender + N privacy orders within W seconds + size-class clustering = iceberg signal. Heuristic-only (we never decrypt), but the pattern itself is detectable from on-chain metadata alone. Confidence calibrated against a labelled subset.
- ▸Per-wallet iceberg score (intra-window cohesion)
- ▸Live feed of detected icebergs (last 6h)
- ▸Methodology disclosed: false-positive rate calibration
Why alpha exists
Most explorers ship features once they're polished and Google-rankable. We disagree. The interesting ideas — the ones that might actually move what's possible — are the ones that need testing in public, with users, with real chain data. Alpha is the staging area: methodology disclosed, error bounds surfaced, expectations calibrated. Some features here will graduate. Some will be retracted. Either way, it ships.
