Privacy Policy

Overview

AsterScan is a block explorer for Aster Chain, operated by Kairos Lab. We are committed to transparency — the same principle that drives blockchain technology guides how we handle your data. In short: we collect as little as possible and never sell anything.

What We Collect

Analytics data. We use privacy-focused analytics (no cookies) to understand how the site is used: page views, referrer, browser type, and country. This data is aggregated and never tied to an individual. No personal identifiers are stored.

Blockchain data. All data displayed on AsterScan is publicly available on-chain. We index blocks, transactions, and account states from Aster Chain. This is public by design — we don't create private data, we surface what's already transparent.

Widget embeds. When third-party sites embed our widgets, we log the requesting domain via an X-Widget-Origin header for rate limiting and usage analytics. No end-user data from the embedding site is collected.

Donations. If you donate to our infrastructure wallet (0xfa78...E3aa), the transaction is recorded on-chain like any other transaction. We don't collect your identity, email, or any off-chain data. Your donation is pseudonymous — tied to your wallet address only.

What We Don't Collect

We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or fingerprinting. We do not collect emails, names, phone numbers, or any personally identifiable information. We do not run ads. We do not sell, share, or monetize any data. There is no user account system — you don't log in, we don't store credentials.

Third-Party Services

We may use third-party infrastructure providers (CDN, hosting) that process requests on our behalf. These providers may log IP addresses in standard server access logs with a maximum retention of 30 days. We do not use Facebook Pixel or any ad-tech tracking service.

Data Retention

Aggregated analytics data is retained for up to 12 months. Server access logs are rotated and deleted within 30 days. Blockchain data is retained indefinitely as it is public and immutable.

Your Rights

Since we don't collect personal data, there is generally nothing to delete or export. If you believe we hold any data about you, contact us at privacy@asterscan.io and we'll address your request within 30 days.

Infrastructure Donations

AsterScan displays a voluntary donation goal to fund monthly infrastructure costs (~$20/month). Donations are sent directly to an on-chain wallet and are entirely voluntary, non-refundable, and carry no expectation of service, access, or reward. The wallet balance is publicly verifiable on any EVM-compatible explorer.

Changes

We may update this policy as our practices evolve. Changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of AsterScan after changes constitutes acceptance.
