What are Aster Vaults?
Aster Vaults are pooled vaults run by traders — a "vault manager" trades perpetuals with the pooled funds, investors share the PnL via NAV shares, and the manager takes a performance fee (on realized profit only). The manager must stake 100 ASTER and hold at least 10% of the vault at all times. This is distinct from Aster Earn's yield vaults (asBTC/asBNB/USDF).
Every vault is an account on Aster Chain, so AsterScan can index it like any wallet — click any vault or manager to open the Wallet Scanner. That is also what makes the Analytics tab possible: the official UI shows TVL, APR and an investor count, but never says whether the manager actually put that money to work. Reading each vault's positions gives deployed vs idle capital; the public depositor ledger gives the lock-up wall — when and how much capital becomes redeemable. Data refreshes every 60s; rankings mirror the official Aster feed. See also the trader leaderboards.
